Mindfulness is not something that appealed to me when I first heard about it. My idea of mindfulness was to sit on a cushion and meditate in silence. In this interview with Brian R. King several forms of mindfulness are explored.
Personal stories are shared which brings you tangible examples of how your life could benefit from mindfulness. The conversation starts off with Brian discussing decisions he made for his son which also offered him a more satisfying life. Our words shift to exploring the big hole that many people experience in their lives before heading into a story of how I first resisted a relationship with my life.
Brian brings the conversations straight to you, asking what do you want to create? What will make you happy? You are a creator and the greatest fulfillment accessible to you is the one that you generate from within.

Diana Ng, aka the Labyrinth Lady, is the community leader who built the first outdoor public labyrinth in Metro Vancouver with the City of Surrey. Through this conversation you will learn the ins and outs of walking the labyrinth as a powerful technique of mindfulness.
The discussion kicks off by differentiating mazes and labyrinths as I got entangled by the resemblance in names and tales. As we go beyond the story of the Minotaur we delve more deeply into the different types of labyrinths. Our guest gives you tips and guidance on how to have an optimal rich experience as you walk it.
Diana talks about the community experience that becomes possible through the labyrinth. The integration of the experience is equally important and is addressed in the interview.

Diana recommends that you visit www.labyrinthsociety.com to find a labyrinth near you.
Once you finish walking the labyrinth go to a private location and write very quickly what are your observations of the walk and yourself. You don’t want to stop and critic your thoughts or writing. After finishing this exercise review it to decide if there is a particular action you should be taking as a result of your insights.
Brendan Sage a conscious youth brings his perspective on mindfulness, shields, meditation and communication. He offers simple ways for you to navigate stressful situations from every day life such as work related challenges and navigating traffic. Then he goes in more depth as to how you can adopt a communication framework to be successful in business, projects and relationships.
Brendan works on several projects at once and is aware that he needs to stay focus which is how he reaches his goals. In this show he shares a message that you are IT and are born complete. You can shift the paradigm of self-improvement to adopt a view point of self-help return to your state of perfection.
He discusses the connection between creating your shield, meditation and mindfulness. In its core essence meditation brings you back inwards and frees you of the thoughts that are clouding your mind every day. It is about truly being with yourself and your essence. The shield allows you to protect yourself from emotional dumping from other people that you encounter in your day to day life. A shield is not cutting you off from society. Rather it is being centered.
To create your shield, do a meditation session when you start your day. By including this in your morning routine it will make you more resilient to what shows up during your day. About 20 minutes will bring you in a state of centering without any side effects.
If you are in a high stress moment, such as a person yelling at you. Experience the emotions in that conversation. Don’t worry about what happens in the moment. AFTER the moment, ask yourself, am I truly feeling this emotion? Why am I feeling this emotion? Where do I feel this emotion? How can I prevent this in the future?
Brendan also shares the 4 Point Communication Philosophy for success in business, projects, relationships and life.
Brendon goes in more details about mindfulness using the example of eating. What happens when you eat while distracting yourself with other activities such as watching television? When you are making changes in your life you will face eternal resistance. What does this mean? Tune in to find out!
